About Dorset Blue Vinny
Dorset Blue Vinny Cheese could once be found in nearly every farmhouse in the county until the Second World War when production almost died out entirely. In the early 1980’s Michael Davies resurrected a 300 year old recipe and breathed a new life into the Dorset Blue Vinny.
Nowadays, the cheese is still made at Woodbridge Farm using the original recipe and Mike has handed the handed the business over to his two children, Richard (who runs the farm) and Emily (who makes the cheese). The business has expanded to produce a range of delicious handmade chutneys and a selection of seasonal soups.
We are the only producers of Dorset Blue Vinny and hold the PGI certificate.
