About Cocoa Libre
Founding member Louise started this venture when her 3 year old son developed a dairy-intolerance. She wanted him to continue to enjoy food and the same kind of lovely chocolate treats her other child enjoyed on occasion. This was especially the case around certain times of year and she couldn’t find products which tasted fantastic and were exciting to receive or see on the shelf at the shops.
So armed with her love of good food and a graphic design background, she developed Cocoa Libre, with the intention of bringing really exciting and lovely chocolates onto the shelves that could be enjoyed by as many people as possible. The chocolates are dairy, gluten, wheat and nut free. Our factory in North Somerset makes allergy free products only so there is never a risk of cross contamination. The milk chocolate is made with rice-milk which is sustainable and makes the chocolate creamy and indistinguishable from conventional milk chocolate. Our products are also ethical and we are part of a scheme that supports cocoa farmers and their families.
